Hockey Themed Wedding Invitation

Congratulations to newly weds Brett Sanford and Lany Shisler!  Brett and Lany married in Fort Collins Colorado this past weekend.  The couple are avid hockey fans, and wanted hockey themed invitations.  With this theme I decided to incorporate vintage hockey images into the invitation.  The requirements they gave me were for their color scheme, to have the invitation be long like a ticket, and to have an rsvp card as a tear-away.  Here are the sketches, final product, and a picture of Brett and Lany.  Thanks Brett and Lany for being such a fun couple to work with!  To order this invitation or have a custom hockey themed invitation made for you, please contact me through ETSY here.

I have always been attracted to trees as a source of inspiration in my art.  Trees can be a great theme for your wedding or party.  They represent life:  sheltering us from the sun, producing oxygen, create homes, paper products, etc.  And of course they are beautiful to look at.  There are an estimated 100,000 species of trees, and the oldest tree is approximately 4,844 years old (the Great Basin Bristlecone Pine).
