Here is a new wedding invitation I recently designed and printed as a custom order for a local customer in Greenville, South Carolina.  This design features a beautiful calligraphy font, and is printed in simple and classic black on thick white 100% cotton papers.  The lettering sinks into the paper beautifully.  You can check out more details for ordering this invitation in my Sofia Invitations and Prints Etsy shop here.

Wedding 101 Greenville, South Carolina

I am excited to announce I am showcasing my letterpress wedding invitations and other products at the new Wedding 101 studio in Greenville, South Carolina.  The studio is located on Main Street downtown (in the West End) and is a beautiful place for brides and grooms to go and plan their wedding.  Currently there are many photographers, wedding officiates, and caterers (as well as invitations from myself!) to view.  Mary Sims Costigan is the very sweet owner and is happy to help you with your wedding ideas.  I recently designed their “Preview Party” invitation.  Here are a few pics from the event:

I have a handful of custom wedding invitation designs I am working on for some very sweet engaged couples.  This one is for a couple getting married in California.  I designed their save the dates, now I am working on their invitations.  The end result will not look like either of the images here, but I wanted to show you just so that you can see how my sketch process works.  Happy Friday!

Hand Lettering From My Sketchbook

I have a formal education in art and design, but I have never been able to take a calligraphy class.  I absolutely love this art form and I hope someday soon I will have the opportunity to learn it.  Until then, I will continue to doodle in my sketchbook (it’s really fun!).  So here is a peak at some of my hand lettered sayings.  I will be bringing these into the computer to play with them more.
