Letterpress Antique Wood Type
I love wood type for letterpress. It just has such impact, even before you print it. I generally do not print with wood type… mainly because it is so hard to get your hands on a full alphabet, but also because it’s not really practical for letterpress printing wedding invitations. But I can still admire it! Here are a few pics I took at the Asheville Bookworks in North Carolina.
Ladies of Letterpress Conference: Rachel Ann Dennis
I drove 1.5 hours north-east from where I am Spartanburg, SC…. to Asheville, NC on Saturday to check out the Ladies of Letterpress Conference. It was a fantastic event! I met Rachel Ann Dennis, a fantastic printmaker. She made this beautiful print that I just had to share! Here is a picture of the print and of her printing at The Letterpress of Tulsa.

Elegant and Modern Script Letterpress Invitation
A few weeks ago I posted an image of a new letterpress invitation that I would be printing. See the original design here.
I want to share with you the final result. I think these came out great! I especially love the paper (it’s a light grey cotton paper by Arturo, an Italian paper company). The ink color is a dark purple. I have included envelopes that match the paper of the invitations.
